Dublin airport 5.30.  On an early morning of the 8th of March 2010 we started our trip to Vinedos Alonso del Yerro.

P1000257We managed to be there in time to see the fabulous winery and the fantastic people behind this project.

After a warm reception from Maria and Lionel we got even warmer inside their Estate and we met Javier.

We thank very much all the care and friendliness towards a group

of recently arrived and amazed Irish and Spanish people.  We also enjoyed the great vintage

that 1954 brought to this planet.

We  left the place smiling and we head to Penafiel to meet Teodoro, Esther and Antonio.

We had time to enjoy their vines, town, winery, wines, lechazo, and their kind hospitality.

After a good sleep next day we kept watching the changeable countryside and the snow and the sun.

And a few kilometers later…

We were surprised for what we saw and what we heard and who we met and what we tasted…

A piece of El Real de San Vicente is still with us for his uniqueness and beautiness.

P1000258Many thanks to Daniel and Jose and Daniel’s mother for the fa bulous cocido.

We rested well in Madrid with a bit of food, a bit of music and a good sleep finishing our quick trip to Spain.

Thanks very much to everybody for making it so enjoyable.

For the moment I just have pictures from Madrid so if anybody wants to send me a few more I can put them in this post.

Gerard, did you bring a camera?…  I don’t remember well, did you say something about a memory card?
