Vinedos y Bodega Jimenez Landi
The vineyards in the D.O Méntrida are situated in the North West of the Toledo Province, bordering the provinces of Avila and Madrid, from the foot of the Gredos Mountain Range to the River Tagus and are irrigated by the River Alberche. The scenery consists of small hills at the foot of the Central System Mountain Range and meadows where oak trees are intermingled with olive trees, wheat and wine ranks.
The climate in Méntrida is extreme continental Mediterranean with long cold winters, slightly tempered and protected by the cold winds from the North by the Gredos Mountain Range. The summers are hot with very little rainfall, about 350 mm. annually, mainly falling in autumn and spring.
Our soil is sandy and acid, of granite origin with some clay, and poor in organic material, which increases the delicacy of the wines produced in the area.
